I am sure your world has much that mine does not. If it has anything like what Kaisou does the fact that there is such advanced technology and free means to communicate without magic is awe inspiring in its own right, is it not?

I suppose, put that way. And I will admit, things have gotten extremely interesting since I think my childhood wish to be a fox may be coming true.

That, or I'm turning into some sort of cat with how flexible I am now.

You had a childhood wish to be a fox?

Yes. My favorite stories and toys growing up were usually about foxes and kitsune. Naturally I wanted to be one.

It's certainly been interesting. They don't make pants for people with tails here, or at least they don't yet, and they keep tripping me up. Still...well.

There is a tailor I've been referred to that may help with your clothing. [There's a softness in his tone, moreso than his usual speaking voice.] But it is clear that you're taking this in stride. It's most admirable. All the better if you see it as a positive experience.

Most experiences are positive, when you consider it as inspiration. You can't do that with everything, but it does help.

But enough about me. I teach art, I think that's well known, but do you do? Are you an actor or a model?

Consider it as inspiration... that is a wonderful way of thinking.

[He wasn't artist minded, but he could still think it was a great thing. That said he is slightly thrown when the conversation is directed back to him.]

No, ah, I... Hmm. [He didn't think of himself as very remarkable. He was certainly no model or actor, he could never pull the latter off.]

... In my home world, I was an adventurer by trade. As for here... well, I've recently begun work with the local book store.

It is, though not for the purposes of blessing... I needed to best them in combat to quell the aramitama within them. [you know, as one does on a tuesday afternoon]

You...fought the Four Guardians? And lived?!

[He is in awe.]

[Yusuke has to sit back and take a moment.]

I wish I could have seen it. I bet you were magnificent.

Yes. [it's ok take ur time. cause takame's not making it any better.]

... It was simply necessary to do so that they may continue to protect the land.

Still, you did that and survived...

[Nope okay he tried to resist. He pulls out his sketchbook and pencil and very, very quickly makes a sketch of something. (It's his idea of what that scene could have looked it. Fight him.)]

Here, the only people who fight gods and win are fairytales. And you are very much not a fairytale.

I did. [There's a tilt of his head, wondering what Yusuke was sketching down but waiting on him to show it.]

Mm. I'm certainly no fairy tale. [Those had fine people as their heroes. Not someone who's led his kind of life.]

No, you're much better than one.

[And he turns the sketch around so Takame can see. It will be...very grand and obviously reliant on liberties taken but the sketch itself is of Takame and all four lords in battle.]

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

... That left Takame at a complete loss for words. Deep down in his heart he felt Yusuke couldn't be more incorrect. But Takame certainly wasn't immune to such a compliment. An honor, dare he say.

Someone as stoic as him was lightly blushing at that.]

Ah, I... that's kind of you to say... [A pause to regain his composure.] Thank you, Yusuke.

[As for the sketch, indeed from Takame's perspective it was a rather gruesome bout at the time, but seeing it displayed with such grandeur left him in awe.]

You have incredible talent to be able to produce something so grand in such little time.

I learned how to do quick sketches like this when I was child. It's a useful skill for moments like these, when I'm overcome with inspiration. Would you mind if I painted that scene, as well?

I don't mind at all. I would like to see this piece as well once it's complete.

[stripartist]

Of course! They are about you and your home, after all.
