Patrizio. [Repeated to commit to memory, though slowly to get the correct pronunciation. He nodded.] Likewise.
[He didn't expect the returned bow, but he was no less delighted by the effort despite his face not showing it and instead forming into a contemplative expression.]
The classes I offer vary in level. Tell me, did you wish to learn your first hand at self-defense? Were you perhaps already proficient or lightly trained in some manner of fighting style? How much experience do you have, this will allow me to have a better idea of where we may begin.
I'm currently being trained in my guardian's style of swordplay--ah, that'd be Jusis, by the way--since late March. I have some practical experience, but not a lot. And... truth be told, I'm not content with just that.
For one thing, I'm concerned about being disarmed, especially if I were to have my magic disabled for some reason.
Hm. I see. [He never did get the chance to see how Jusis fought in April, so he had no real idea of the style. He didn't necessarily need to know, but it was a curiosity.]
The way a sword is held is vital. If your grip is weak and unsteady, 'tis likely you will drop it or have it thrown from your hands. However, if it is too tight you run the risk of doing lasting damage to your wrists and the unsure nature of a tight grip will leave you susceptible to being disarmed regardless.
[At his side was a practice sword solely made from wood in the style of a standard katana. He drew it as if it were any other sword to demonstrate the sort of grip he spoke of. His hands and blade were still, only moving with his quiet breaths. And even then it still appeared to not move.]
It takes time to build the confidence to have the right grip. To quash the anxiety that holding a blade brings about. It is a matter most do not consider despite it making all the difference in the world.

time is super fake.........
... You're right, it's definitely not something I've considered before.
[But then, before he'd gone to Jusis that first time to ask about training, he never considered himself wielding a sword to begin with.]
