OH. It's something from your home world. That'd explain why I never had it. Wonder how the manged to get some for you- there's gotta be a baker around here who knows how to make it, right?
[No he's not asking so he can get one for Takame one day in the future whenever the guy next needs a pick-me-up. Not at all. Nope. ]
I am not the most capable culinarian but it isn't a difficult dish on its own, so long as the fruit is in season. I believe it was home made and they did quite a good job at making it for one who did not have access to the original recipe.
[Well, that answered that question for him. Goddamnit he is going to need to learn to make this thing. He doesn't think he's even turned on his oven since he moved into his apartment 2 years ago. ]
No kidding! Have you got the recipe? Just out of curiosity.
[One day he is gonna burn down his kitchen trying to do a nice thing for Takame. ]

Did they do anything? Are you okay?
[Ugh, ugh, he hates this. He hates dealing with the consequences of his actions. After another long fucking pause:]
Sorry.

...Or delivered anything weird. They didn't, right? This isn't a head-in-a-box situation?

It was persimmon pudding.

Ooooh, I've never had that, what's it like?

I'm not sure how best to describe it. It's rich and not too sweet. Something enjoyed in my homeland.
